Welcome to the Miami Valley Health Information Management Association website.
The purpose of the MVHIMA is to provide a means of communication between members, provide educational opportunities for those members, help support the local students, provide input on the state and national levels to Ohio Health Information Management Association (OHIMA) and American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

Welcome to all who are visiting our website.
We have made some recent changes in our organization. We are now having two education opportunities for the members and any other interested individuals. One will take place in the fall of each year, will 5-6 CE offered. The second one will take place in the spring on a Saturday morning, offering 4 CEs. We will hold a short membership meeting at each of these seminars. Please refer to this website for updated information on when and where these seminars will be. If you have any topics you would like to see presented, please contact the Directors of the Seminars (you can find their info in the board of directors tab on this website) with your suggestions.
The board continues to meet on a bi-monthly schedule, July, September, November, January, March and May. If you would be interested in a board position, please contact the president elect and they will get your information.
The bylaws are in the process of being updated with the changes from our restructuring of the board. The goal is to have this completed by Jan 2008. Please continue to check the bylaws tab for the update.
This organization and members of MVHIMA continue to support and work with Sinclair Community College’s HIM program as clinical sites for the students. These students could be future employee in the area. If you are not presently a clinical site for students and would like to be, please contact the HIM program at Sinclair.
We are in the process of going paper lite in this organization. Corresponding by email if a more efficient and timely means of communication with our members.
