Welcome to the Miami Valley Health Information Management Association website.

The purpose of the MVHIMA is to provide a means of communication between members, provide educational opportunities for those members, help support the local students, provide input on the state and national levels to Ohio Health Information Management Association (OHIMA) and American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

Welcome from the 2011-2012 MVHIMA Board!

These last few years have been an exciting time for the MVHIMA region. We have seen the implementation of a paperless organization with communications going to strictly email and website updates. We have implemented electronic voting with a huge improvement in the participation of members in the voting process. We have also started including ICD-10 CEUs into our educational offerings to our members. What a great time to be involved in MVHIMA! It is truly YOUR local association and direct link to OHIMA and AHIMA.

As your current President, I am open at anytime to suggestions that our members have on how to better the association even more. Maybe you have an idea for an educational seminar, a comment on a recent event, news to share, or a concern to pass along to OHIMA/AHIMA.
